Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian(Book Club 10) May include spoilers

Lucan is a Vampire of the "Breed" who was sired by one of the Ancients. The "Breed" are trained warriors who hunt rogue vampires who have been consumed by bloodlust and kill indiscriminately. In this book all Vampires are male and only certain females are able to carry their children, these females are known as Breedmates. When Lucan is watching a group of Rogues he is surprised that a woman can see through their glamour and reports the murder of a young man outside of the club. Lucan tracks down the woman and as he's going to wipe her memory of the event discovers she's a Breedmate.

Gabrielle is a professional photographer who witnessed and reported the murder. She was adopted at the age of 12 and never knew her real parents. I really enjoyed the characters in this story and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I loved this book! And have continued to get the rest of the series.
Lucan, warror vampire, Leader. He is close to bloodlust and with mating with Gabrielle is able to control this.
Gabrielle, a unknown breedmate, who gift is to see rogues and vampires and the places they resides, (she has photographed many of them.) This is a gift she will pass on to her sons. The children receives the mother's gift.
The book also intrduces the villan vampire Merick who is Lucan's brother.

Great book, Great Series, and a lovely reread.

A wonderful series. The stories just keep getting better and better.
Ladies, this is a great author who keeps you on your toes.

I had read this book months ago and really loved it. I liked how Lucan impersonated a detective in the beginning. What a great idea. Love how the story unfolded and recommend the rest of the series.

Nice to finally get some comments ladies, so I figure I can print some spoilers now!

Absolutely loved Gabrielle and Lucan's relationship, it started out based on a lie, then it was just both of them lying to themselves. They both wanted to deny what was between them and when they finally came to terms with it the possibilities were endless. The final scene in the book was amazing absolutely loved the set up. I loved how you could actually feel their relationship grow throughout the entire book even though both of them were clueless. The "Duh" moment when they both finally realized what everyone else already knew was great!

I kept guessing who actually betrayed them! My first instinct was Tegan then that was to obvious but when he ran away from the scene I was like okay maybe then when Gabrielle observed that Eva was jumpy I thought it was her but still Tegan was gone, maybe it was just me but I couldn't be 100% sure until they got back to the compound and Eva started to confess!

Really looking forward to the rest of the series!

I thought this book was great! I have to admit the first couple of chapters didn't suck me in but once it did I couldn't put it down! Pyper I was also trying to guess who had betrayed them I thought for sure it was Tegan! I may be blind but I didn't expect it to be Eva. I liked that Lucan pretended to be a detective to get info from Gabrielle and was just waiting for her to bust him at the police dept. I loved the end where Gabrielle had been captured & to find out who the villain was behind the rouges! I was surprised who it was but also didn't see how Lucan didn't recognize the demoglyphs. Then again I could see how he would've never expected it to be him. All in all I thought this was a great book and plan on continuing the series!

About how he didn't recognize the dermaglyphs(not that I need to defend him cause I fell in love with him too or anything) but I believe Marek stated that he had added tattoos to them so they wouldn't be recognizable.

Ahh that makes sense now i didn't catch that.

I just finished Kiss of Midnight (audio). I loved it! I loved Lucen & Gabrielle's story and this world she has created. I am hooked!

I have to say when they were ambushed, I was going a bit crazy trying to figure out who betrayed them. I thought Tegan but that would be too easy. I was leaning towards Rio because it was the only one that kind of made sense, I was blown away with it being Eva.

the series just keeps getting better.
