THAT WOULD WORK. Think about it, that's what they had in Greece right? As the 'chorus'...not as large as head to toe, but they were pretty sizable so that everybody could make out the facial features and to help amplify the voices (or I think that's what I remember from class). Not quite New Orleans...but creativity can help with that!

| I had a character in mind and a costume...and I can't find the book! I think my mom stole it last time she was staying with me and took it back to Thailand with her. -_-
This means I need to purchase the book again because once she has it, then my aunt will nab it, then another aunt and a cousin...

| Costumes could limit the cupcakes I'm able to pack on the train. Of course it is a good excuse to dress up in New Orleans... I know my wife used to have a leather vest. I don't remember if she ever got a corset or not. | |

| I heard a rumor that its not going to be a real masquerade ball with masks and everything but we're supposed to dress up like characters out of the books by authors attending the convention. Somebody tell me this is wrong because I already bought my costume mask and all. | |

| The ball is to be New Orleans inspired. Not just a masked ball. Dress up as a character from a book with a NOLA setting or as a historical figure from NOLA... like a ghost. I think Stella had information about the ball in the last newsletter. | |

| Danielle18~ I am going as a book Character but will be wearing a small mask as well. I'm not making the mask the main focus of my costume just an accessory. You won't be the only one!
I just bought the finishing items for my costume I'm so excited!

| No. its right. there was a newsletter and Registration email that went out 2 months ago.
You can dress in a mask, but masked attendees wont be eligible to win a best costume prize. Also, theres a DJ, and no sexy suitors about no reason to hide your face.
the AAD "Masquerade" is a costume party with a theme every year. I guess a few people didnt know, which is fine.

| I don't remember getting that newsletter or anything about registration, I think that was around the time my email address changed. Must have just missed that one. | |
