| So what would any of you like to see on a simple map of the area around the hotel?
We'd like to provide an easy to follow, walking distance map to useful things like convenience stores or grocery stores for those things you might have forgotten to pack.
Can you think of other things to include on this "Just in Case" map?

| In addition to a map it would be nice to have a quick "Contact" sheet for the area and con. I know the hotel usually includes something like that, but maybe a list of who to call re: special events or if you need help finding a venue (staff list?). | |

| Definitely a good idea - although how to contact those liaisons while on site will be interesting to brainstorm a bit. Thanks! | |

| Oh, if there are scheduled tours, the start of the tour locations on the maps would be wonderful.
Also things like Post Office/UPS location, the closest pharmacy (or multiple pharmacies if there are choices), the closest bank with ATM (their charges are usually less than the stand-alone kiosk things)...

| A lot of people I know who attend these cons have a Starbucks addiction. Not Me - I prefer what they call brown water. A map location of Starbucks would be a kind gesture to the Starbucks junkies. Thanks. | |

| I would like to see nail/beauty salons, since I suck at doing my own hair and make-up and want to look good for the masquerade ball! | |

| If you wanted to include fun things to do, there are so many fun things to do in NOLA it will be hard to choose: Vampire tours (kind of silly but fun) Riverboat Aquarium of the Americas VooDoo museum (and other museums) Carriage rides National D-Day museum (don't miss!) French Market Harrah's (if you like to gamble) Cemetery tours (GO IN A LARGE GROUP, do not go off by yourself) Bourbon Street Riverwalk (shopping)
And so many great restaurants to discover while you're touring the French Quarter.

| I plan on walking to Cafe du Monde every freakin' day for beignets. I love love love them! I know they are just a powdered sugar donut, but they are a powdered sugar donut with the soul of New Orleans infused in the oil. I think it's pretty close to the hotel. Although if it was farther that would probably be better what with the aforementioned sugar and oil | |
