| I don't think as soon as it opened.
It seemed to fill extremely quickly after being in an author's newsletter.
I think that is correct. I'm sure Stella will correct me if I'm wrong. |

| its early september... See heres the deal..
We have a new registration system this coming year, and I have to make sure the portal page is ready to go for the con. its an arduous process so I dont know what day it will be finished, or when it will be accepted by the company for their setup and Im taking the week after AAD Im taking off to recoup my sanity so Im not giving anything a solid date right now.
But the registration and reservations both will open the same day. |

| I lucked out when I registered for AAD 2011 in Philly right after I registered for the con. I couldn't believe it when the room block was full about a month later. I hadn't experienced anything like this when I went to Lora Leigh's RAW or Ellora's Cave RomantiCon last year. So I have definitely learned that it is wise to book your hotel reservation ASAP. |

| there is a reason for that...
both those others say they are all about the readers, but they dont have a cap, so they dont have to get a specific room block. AAD has to because we cap, in order to make sure that readers get quality time with all the authors. Also you will notice that ALL the authors are accessible, and theres no hidden events or room parties because this is about the reader, not the author's ego.

| Im all about fair... and AAD reflects that. You will see both small press and NYTBS's in the same party and room... because its all about the readers, and the ability to sell books. |
