Wow thanks for all the links to [positive] blogs and pics...because I needed to be more excited aboout NOLA.

Here are some pictures of the con, from the perspective of a con staff member.
Now since we are usually running around like crazy from 7:30am - 2:00am during the con, we don't get the chance to take many pictures.

As for the bashing blogs out there about AAD...
They make me really sad. I wanted to reply to them with simply the quote "Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes." from Jack Handey. I'm glad attendees don't have to see the months of preparation and stress that Stella goes through in preparing for the con. Nor do I want them to ever see that starting days before the con, we the staff, start living on 3 - 4 hours of sleep a night until a day or two after the con ends, regardless of the fact that we are doing it all on a volunteer basis. Yep, you read that right. Not one of us is paid to do this. AAD is not a profit con. What you pay in goes to the con itself.
And for the people that replied to those blogs that they don't plan to attend AAD ever, or ever again, I say I'm sorry you feel that way, but thank you for opening up more registration spots for those that really do appreciate what we do, and are ready to have a great time.
