That's a great idea. For those who'd like to see the spreadsheet - hit me up via email and I'll give you "Read" rights and the link to see it.

I thought that our spotlights were going to be promoted by AAD. At least, that is what our original email said. It will give the posts, and by extension, the authors, much more exposure.

Working on that - your two got ahead of us but we've got plans in place to promote them, even if a little bit late.

Just working on a few administrative access technical thingies in the background and we should be able to catch up.

And we've got a few of the gears set into motion.

You should be seeing tweets from @AADConvention on the spotlights now and as more spotlights are reported.

At the end of each month, there will also be a post with links to the Author Spotlights for each month at the AAD blog.

Please remember to use the link provided via email to all bloggers to fill out the form for each Author Spotlight with the direct url to each post. Otherwise, it may get missed.

Is it okay to do more than the "required" spotlights? I have been approached by an author requesting a spotlight after I had "set" mine in place. I am still going to host her, but wanted to make sure I could do the "feature spotlight" with the post as well. Figured can't do too much publicity!

Reason: we need the first two weeks to asess each blog, make sure they all did what they needed to to BE bloggers at AAD this year and make sure we have enough promo and goodies for their programing.

I had a Field Trip (NY) author contact me about doing an author spotlight feature.
I know they can't count towards the official feature blogger count but can I still feature her under the AAD Spotlight banner?

they are. this is an extra I believe, correct?

*Whew* I was scared there for a moment. *grin* I believe I have a few within my required 30, so I wanted to make sure I didn't need to go find a few more authors to correct that.
